The four pups from our last litter of Rotts have now left for their new homes. So far, the new owners are reporting that they are doing well and house training (aside from a few hiccoughs) is progressing nicely.

Trevor and Della have sent me a lovely snap of Ody in his new garden. He looks so at home and happy. It's obvious from speaking to them both that Ody is a much loved and cherished little chap - and a lucky little boy to have found such a wonderful home.

Rhea continues to attend our local Ringcraft classes on a regular basis. It's obvious that she really enjoys her night out and has made 'friends' with a number of the other attendees - both canine and human. At the moment, a beautiful Red Setter has decided that Rhea will make a fine toy to play with!

Introducing Ruby

Ruby was born on May 21st 2009 to Harriet, and was one of 6 pups in Hattie's second litter. Dad is Chapmeek Double OSeven (Vegas to family and friends) and these pups are his first offspring.I gather he is a very proud dad.

Ruby enjoys a cuddle with Grandpa David on a nice sunny afternoon.Coming from a small litter, Ruby is a big, happy and contented baby (actually, ALL the puppies are!). She's just 3 weeks old in the above photo. Big brother George is delighted by the additions the family and spends hours keeping a watchful eye on his young brothers and sisters. He can't wait until they are old enough to play with. Rory is totally indifferent to the pups and Bella is DEFINITELY not impressed by the small, smelly little things that demand so much of my time.

Introducing Merlyn

This little lad, as you can see, is absolutely gorgeous - and will be staying at home with us. OK, I know we are hopeless - I know I don't so much breed dogs as hoard them - but, hey! - I'm happy. Poor - but happy. And we're sure that Merlyn will grow into a stunner - just like his dad.

This is George, Rory and Bella keeping tabs on their younger siblings.

It's hoped that Ruby & Merlyn will join our show team in due time.

Introducing Rhea

When Katie had her pups on the 9th of July I hadn't intended to keep one. However, with the passing of my dearest old friend, Bliss, a hole sort of opened up in the fabric of our home and Rhea sort of fell into it. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it

There's nothing as nice as a cuddle with your Nanny - that's Lily with her arm around little Rhea - both enjoying an afternoon snooze (this is still one of my favourite snaps).! Ahhh, Bless!

Puppies are babies for so short a time. It's amazing how much they seem to grow each day - they almost grow before your eyes. Rhea has already been accepted as a member of the pack by all the other Heelers and they seem to take turns to play with her and keep her amused. When she's asleep they tip-toe around her being careful not to wake her. I'm sure they hiss at each other "You wake her - you play with her!"

Rhea at 10 weeks.

This is Rhea at just over 12 weeks.

Rhea has already begun her show career - and it got off with an amazing start. At Manchester Champ show she not only qualified for Crufts 2010 by being Best Bitch Puppy ( she was the ONLY bitch puppy!), she was also 2nd in a very large PuppyStakes class. Rhea was also part of the winning team that was responsible for winning Best Breeder in Breed award for me. I was particularly proud of my litte team as this was the first time this award was given by the Kennel Club.
